About Video Technology Services (VTS)

Do you have an important event that needs to be video recorded? Do you need support with video production, or have an event that needs live streaming? Let Video Technology Services help you with all your media and event production needs. VTS is a full service provider of media-related services, including video production and editing, live event support, and campus digital signage. Media/Event Production

VTS is a full service provider of media-related services, including video production and editing, live event support and campus digital signage. 

Media Production

Specializing in production for broadcast, VTS provides a full range of standard and high definition video services. Our services include creating public service announcements, Mass Communications instruction, content for online learning courses, event documentation, marketing videos, multi-camera switched events, green screen studio production, post production editing, remotes, live video streaming and the producing of Wright State Raider Sports.

Event Support

VTS will produce and manage your event, providing video and multimedia productions on and off the Wright State campus. Our support services cover a broad range of products from location shooting, multi camera support, live video streaming and all the required media creation for the event. 

Scheduling Event Support for your Event

VTS requires a 14 day lead time to schedule your event. If you would like to schedule Event Support please user our VTS Services Request form.

Scheduling Facilities for your Event

VTS does not schedule auditoriums, classrooms, and facilities. Please contact each facility you plan to use directly. We do not set up staging, large venue lighting or provide large scale audio support.

Content Distribution

VTS utilizes our robust campus IP network and our campus RF cable network to distribute content in a wide variety of platforms. Providing services to include live video streaming and video-on-demand (worldwide), enterprise digital signage, Access Channel 21 on Time Warner Cable.

Live Event Streaming/Video On Demand

The Wright State University Streaming Service is powered by Telvue. Utilizing HLS (HTTP Live Streaming), you can view Wright State event productions via live streams and archived video from your PC or Mac as well as any mobile device. VTS can enhance the viewership of your event by adding our streaming service to your productions.

You can also watch archived Wright State productions from the comfort of your home through the technology of the Roku Streaming Media Player. You will need a Roku Media Player for viewing.
Just login to your Roku account (free) at www.roku.com.

Educational Access WSU TV

WSU TV is Wright State University’s Educational Access Channel, which can be seen on Time Warner Cable in Fairborn at channel 21.105 and, on AT&T’s U Verse at channel 99 in the PEG Community under City of Dayton. The channels are operated and maintained by VTS at no cost to the university and provide university programming to Dayton and surrounding cities.

Current programming for the channel consist of the WSU Electronic Bulletin Board displaying campus information, Wright State PSA’s and high profile campus events such as WSU Commencement, Presidential Lecture Series and Wright State Raiders Sports.

The WSU Educational Access Channel is integral to meeting the goals established in the university’s strategic plan.  If you would like your college or department to advertise on WSU TV please call us for Access Channel guidelines.

Facilities

Located at the WSU Foundation Building 3070 Presidential Drive in Suite 240, the VTS facilities consist of a full service video production studio and control room and, conferencing and meeting space to support faculty, staff and students. In addition VTS operates and maintains a full service video control room in the Nutter Center for producing Wright State Raider sports and main arena events.

Video Production Studio

VTS offers high quality digital video production for DVD, web video, interviews, instructional videos, and live events. Our video facility features a 22′ by 35′ shooting area, complete with backdrops, lighting, and a Chroma Key/ Green Screen system for your video production. We have a moderate collection of HD and SD cameras to create the right look for your project within a controlled environment. Conferencing/Meeting Space

The VTS conference room is located at the WSU Foundation Building 3070 Presidential Drive in Suite 240 and will accommodate up to ten people providing a full complement of audio-visual services. To schedule this conference space please use our VTS Services Request form.

Nutter Center Video Control Room

The Nutter Center Video Control Room facilitates video productions for Nutter Center Main Arena events to include the production of Wright State Raiders sports. Live video as it happens is displayed on our state-of-the-art videoboard system creating vivid HD quality video. High profile events such as WSU Commencement, Presidential Lecture Series, National Science Olympiad and Thunder Nationals to name a few, utilize our services and take full advantage of the video capabilities provided to them.
