Wright State University will soon be purging content from our Learning Management System that falls outside of our current LMS retention policy.
Banner courses are maintained for 6-years following the semester in which they were delivered. Courses beyond 6-years will be scheduled for deletion.
CaTS is currently working to develop a timeline for this project; the initial purge of course content from the LMS is tentatively scheduled for March 2026 and will begin with the years 2010 and 2011.
CaTS is working in accordance to the Records Management and Retention Policy, specifically WSU Records Series Numbers 'GS01' and 'GS04' on the University's General Retention Schedule. More information around record management and retention schedules can also be found on the Records Management page.
What Does This Mean to Me?
If you are an instructor and have courses that were offered prior to the 2020 Fall Semester, you will need to take action to preserve the course content and materials outside of Pilot prior to March 1, 2026.
