Update on Classroom VHS Player Phase Out

As per the CaTS email communication sent May 2, 2012, VHS/DVD Combo players will not be replaced in electronic classrooms that are renovated after June 1, 2012. A Blu-Ray/DVD player will be installed in its place. In addition, any new electronic classrooms being built will have only the Blu-Ray/DVD player installed.

Several electronic classrooms (listed below) are scheduled to be upgraded or built throughout the upcoming summer quarter. Please be aware that once upgrades are complete, there will no longer be VHS capability in these electronic classrooms. We encourage faculty members to begin transitioning their VHS media to a digital format as soon as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the CaTS Help Desk at x4827.
