Panopto Cloud Upgrade

Please note: the text of this article is quoted directly from a Panopto outage announcement.

On Saturday, June 9, Panopto Cloud customers will be upgraded to Panopto 5.7. This upgrade will require downtime:

  • Sites will be updated from 7:00pm to 11:00pm EDT.
  • We expect up to 4 hours of downtime.

During the time your site is offline, you will not be able to access recordings on your server, and any attempts to upload from clients will result in a "Server unable to connect" message.


Platform Support
With the release of Panopto 5.7, we’ve also updated the list of supported platforms:

  • Panopto VCMS and Viewer — No longer supports Internet Explorer version 10 and earlier
  • Panopto for Windows — No longer supports Powerpoint 2007
  • Panopto for Mac — No longer supports OSX 10.10 (Yosemite, released in 2014)
  • Panopto for iOS — No longer supports iOS 8, 9, 10 (Cutting off iPhone models 5C(2013) and earlier and iPad 4(2012) and earlier.)
  • Panopto for Android — No longer supports Android 4 or 5 (Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lollipop(2014).)
