Services Outages for 1/3/17

Currently, a number of Wright State systems are experiencing intermittent connection issues. CaTS is working to identity a list of these services. For the latest updates about which services are unavailable or have been restored, please see below.


9:30 a.m. Update

Services Unavailable:

  • WINGS Announce List (Mail list manager)
  • Filelocker
  • Cognos (working, but in a degraded state)
  • Atomic Learning
  • Qualtrics

Services Restored:

  • None

 

1:00 p.m. Update

All services have been restored

 

 

Reminder: CaTS System Maintenance for 12/4/16

As a reminder, CaTS will be replacing the Main Campus production firewall on Sunday, December 4, from 5:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. During this time network access will be unavailable, along with all University systems such as WINGS, WINGS Express, Banner, etc. The wright.edu websites will be available to off campus users.

This firewall replacement will provide campus with the needed capacity to cope with growing network bandwidth requirements, as well as allowing for the consolidation of security appliances into a single platform.

CaTS System Maintenance for 10/22/16

CaTS will be performing a Banner upgrade on Saturday, October 22, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. This will facilitate the processing of regulatory changes in ACT scores, as well as keeping WSU current with our Banner Student and Accounts Receivable administrative software. During this time access to all Banner-related services will be unavailable, including the following:

  • WINGS Express
  • Banner Admin
  • Wright1 Card Services
  • TouchNet
  • TK20
  • Parking Services
  • WrightBuy
  • Xtender
  • DARS

CaTS Storage Maintenance Update

CaTS will be performing the following system maintenance this weekend:

The system which provides the H:\, K:\, and R:\ drives will be updated Sunday, July 31, between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m. This update should be non-disruptive. However, as a precaution please save your work often if you are accessing these drives during that time. If you experience issues during this maintenance period, you may need to save your work and restart your computer.

Wright1 Card Outage for 5/1

The Wright1 Card system will be unavailable during the following times due to system maintenance:

  • Sunday, May 1, 2:00 p.m. through Monday, May 2, 4:00 p.m.

During this time, access to the following Wright1 Card services will be unavailable:

  • Online deposits and account statements
  • Sales at off-campus and on-campus merchants (Union Market will be open & accepting cash/credit card)
  • Wright1 and credit card swipes at campus vending machines
  • All pay-for-print card swipes at printing stations, copiers, and laundry (does not include Xerox printer card swipes)

During this time, the Wright1 Card office in 055 Student Union will also be closed.
