At Wright State University, our summer student staff is integral to the success of our department endeavors. As paraprofessional staff, SCRAs engage in a very exciting, rewarding, and challenging experience. Those involved in the Residence Life program will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and enhance their communication skills while gaining a better understanding of themselves and others.
A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required at time of application. In the event that an individual who is selected for the position has their cumulative GPA drop below the required GPA at the end of the Spring Semester, that individual will immediately have the offer of employment withdrawn. Individuals will not be allowed to begin a position while on probation. Individuals must be registered for classes at Wright State University during the Summer and/or Fall Semesters. Individuals should not apply for the position unless they are able to make an employment commitment for the entire summer.
Summer employment will commence Monday, May 1, 2023 and will end on Monday, August 14, 2023. There will be scheduled training and orientation prior to the end of spring semester..
Along with an invaluable and rewarding growth experience, SCRAs receive $10.10 per hour for 10 hours a week, an assigned room, and a a waiver of the required residential activity fee. Note: Facilities for partners and/or dependents are not currently available. Summer employees must pay the $200 telecom fee.
