Become a Residential Academic Ambassador
Responsibilities
- Create programs and academic initiatives that align with Residence Life programmatic goals as well as the goals of collaborating Colleges. This includes bulletin boards, virtual content, community programming, and other initiatives related to each RAA academic focus as well as general student success. Work with Resident Assistants and Residential Organizations to provide opportunities for collaboration. (40%)
- Hold weekly office hours and study tables (5 hours) in your assigned community office/lounge. Advertise so students can stop by for help 1-1 or in a group setting. (40%)
- Hold review sessions as needed (required during mid-term and finals week). (10%)
- Other duties and additional Residence Life projects as assigned. (10%)
Supervision
This position is supervised by the Assistant Director for Residence Life and works closely with the Community Director(s). All requests for programming funds will be at the discretion of the Residence Life Staff.
Compensation
Single room in Hamilton, Honors, or the Woods as assigned by Residence Life and Housing. This does not cover fees, meal plans, etc.
Dates of Employment
The position begins August 5, 2022 and ends April 29, 2023.
*Note: Residence Life & Housing will coordinate a move in date before the first day of training on August 5, 2022
**Note: A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher is required and will be verified.
