The WSU Retirees Association presents:

Heart health for women & men, with Dr. Harvey Hahn

Heart disease is the most common cause of death for both women and men in the United States. Because some heart disease symptoms in women can present differently than they do in men, it is important for both sexes to understand the risk factors and symptoms. Kettering Health Network cardiologist Dr. Harvey S. Hahn will share his expertise on heart disease and discuss how both sexes can maintain a healthy heart through lifestyle choices in a Zoom discussion on Wednesday, Oct.19, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

The discussion will also address some of the latest findings about the effects of covid-19 on the heart and the research funding gap into heart disease in women compared to men. You are encouraged to bring your questions about heart health and disease to the meeting.

Dr. Hahn is a board certified cardiovascular specialist with over 21 years’ experience. His interests include cardiac imaging, preventive cardiology, lifestyle medicine and medical education. He has personally experienced the power of lifestyle in getting healthy himself by losing weight, exercising and changing to a plant-based diet. He also is involved with his local church and with missionary work abroad.
