Abstract: There's a good deal of expectation about how great tenure will be before one's promotion and tenure, but faculty on "the other side" may find themselves wondering "What's next?" and "Is this all there is?". Life after tenure affords opportunity for reframing and renewal, but it is also fraught with new expectations. Come share your experience—the challenges and the successes—as we discuss portions of Jeffrey Buller's very practical book "The Essential College Professor: A Practical Guide to an Academic Career." We will read and focus on topics in the book that address post-tenure challenges and strategies for success. This book group will be limited to 10 mid-career (i.e., tenured Associate or Full) faculty participants. Books will be provided by the Office of Faculty Development & Leadership.

Participants for this workshop need to be tenured (associate or full).

Lunch provided by the Director for Faculty Development & Leadership. Please note any dietary restrictions in the Comments section provided below.
