A Bus Tour of Woodland Arboretum
Here's your opportunity to explore the award-winning Arboretum at Woodland Cemetery from the comfort of a bus on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 10 a.m.–noon. The Woodland Arboretum Tree Tour — led by guide Kay Linden — highlights this unique natural space that includes 25 species of Oak trees, including 10 current or former state champion trees.
The tour is free, but there is a suggested $5 donation that can be made at the site on the day of the tour. All donations support the Woodland Arboretum Foundation, which focuses on the restoration, preservation, horticultural and educational projects needed to keep Woodland a cultural resource for Dayton and Ohio.
The WSU Retirees Association has arranged for a 10-person bus, so the tour is limited to 10 individuals. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle if needed. Tours will launch rain or shine, except in the event of thunder or lightning.
The deadline for registering is Friday, Oct. 4. To register, send email to the Retirees Association at wsura@wright.edu. Please put "Woodland" in the subject line. We will acknowledge your registration by email.
