The Physics seminar this week will meet online on Thursday, February 17, at 1:00 pm .  You can join us live at this link: https://us.bbcollab.com/guest/4a2dc489c4ad41729b116a7907adf865

The talk this week will be by Richard Vanderburgh (live) and is titled "Computational Plasma Physics" with the following abstract:

Kinetic particle-in-cell simulations yield insights into the behavior of charged particle wave interactions. Using Maxwell's equations to solve the forces acting on particles, trajectories can be visualized using animations of the particles in phase-space. This presentation discusses the theory of plasma physics and the computational methods used in studying plasma behavior.

Vanderburgh is a recent graduate of the Wright State IASM program and is currently employed at Infinity Labs LLC in the Dayton area.
