Campus Recreation

COVID-19 Campus Recreation Policy Update

Until further notice, the following are the procedures and policies for entering our facility to ensure the health and safety of all our patrons.

  1. Please arrive on time for your reservation; however, do not enter the recreation desk area more than 5 minutes before your workout.
    1. Users must check in with their active Wright1 Card at the recreation desk.
    2. If you are unable to attend your workout, please cancel at least 4 hours ahead of time on imleagues.com or by calling 937-775-5505 during business hours (Monday–Thursday 7 a.m.–9 p.m.; Friday 7 a.m.–8 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m–5 p.m.). Failure to show may result in lost privileges in the future. If you have to cancel less than 4 hours before your workout, we ask that you do so by calling the front desk.
    3. Reservations must be made on imleagues.com. Follow this how-to instructional video for assistance.
      1. When registering your account, please use your @wright.edu email. 
    4. Reservations start at 7:15 a.m. We close in the middle of the day for cleaning prior to the at-risk* reserved time.
      1. Registration is limited to 8 people every 15 minutes.
      2. Reservations may be made up to 5 days in advance of a workout. You may only have one workout per day; if space is available when you check in, you may sign up for more time.  
      3. Two reservations time blocks have been set aside for at-risk populations** 2:30–3:30 and 2:45–3:30. If you are not a member of an at-risk population, please do not schedule during these times.
    5. Failure to show without cancelling MAY result in lost privileges, as spaces are limited.

    ** At-risk users are patrons who have underlying medical conditions and may be more susceptible to becoming symptomatic when coming in contact with the COVID-19 virus. At-risk patrons may have one of the following conditions or other conditions not listed here; for a complete updated list, please visit cdc.gov/coronavirus. While we will not ask about your risks, we ask that all patrons respect each other.

    • Cancer
    • Chronic kidney disease
    • COPD
    • Sickle cell disease
    • Type 2 diabetes mellitus
    • Type 1 diabetes mellitus
    • Asthma
    • Cerebrovascular disease
    • Cystic fibrosis
    • Hypertension or high blood pressure
    • Neurologic conditions, such as dementia
    • Liver disease
    • Pregnancy
    • Thalassemia
    • Pulmonary Fibrosis
    • Immunocompromised state (weakened immune system) from solid organ transplant and/or from blood or bone marrow transplant, immune deficiencies, HIV, use of corticosteroids, or use of other immune weakening medicines
    • Serious heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, or cardiomyopathies
  2. Please follow university protocols for COIVD-19 including:
    1. Wear a face covering at all times, once you arrive on campus and during your workout.
      1. Properly worn coverings cover both your mouth and nose.
    2. Maintain social distancing by remaining at least 6 feet from other individuals.
    3. Conduct a daily health assessment prior to coming to workout.
      1. Temperatures should not exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit. For a list of other symptoms, please consult the CDC.
    4. Wash and sanitize hands before entering the facility and upon leaving the facility. Members should also utilize available hand sanitizer through their workout.
    5. Bring your own water bottle. Water fountains will NOT be available. (Bottle refill will be.) For a complete list of Wright State University protocols, please visit wright.edu/coronavirus.
  3. Each user will obtain their individual bottle of spray cleaner upon checking in. Please clean all equipment including the weights, pins and handles before and after use. The Fitness Center staff will also be cleaning throughout the day, including an afternoon shutdown period before the at-risk group enters at 2:30 p.m.
    1. Users should avoid using lifting gloves or other personal items that are not easily cleaned.
  4. Please follow your allotted time of 1 hour.
    1. Additional time may be available. Please speak to the front desk upon checking into your workout.
  5. Spotting by another member or employee is prohibited. When lifting, please limit yourself to a safe weight.
  6. Lockers and showers will be available in the locker room; we do have lockers available for purchase. We ask all patrons to clean the showers before AND after use. Campus Recreation will be cleaning touchpoints every 2 hours.
  7. Campus Recreation has the right to refuse service to anyone exhibiting symptoms or not following facility protocol.
