Together, they have worked to educate and retain physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in regional communities.

In April 2024, the two organizations agreed to further align their operations to advance academic medicine, to improve community health, and to drive economic growth in the region.

This affiliation includes a shared vision to guide us: Together, Wright State University and Premier Health will work to advance academic medicine, improve community health, bolster workforce and economic development, and become the destination for future health professionals through acclaimed academic and experiential learning environments.

Wright State emergency medicine residents train in field rescues and extrications to understand patient traumas
