Accreditation

Institutional Accreditation

“Accreditation” is a review of the quality of higher education institutions and programs. In the United States, accreditation is a major way that students, families, government officials, and the general public know that an institution or program provides quality education.

Wright State University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (hlcommission.org), an institutional accreditor recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Wright State University has been continuously accredited since 1968. Because accreditation is a continuing relationship between Wright State University and HLC, without a set time period or expiration, our current status is verified through this webpage.

Continual HLC Accreditation is a key indicator of Wright State’s quality.
