University Brand Typefaces
Univers LT Standard and Minion Pro are the university brand's primary typefaces due to legibility and availability. Each font includes a range of weights and widths that can accommodate any need.
Univers LT Standard is a contemporary sans serif font, and typically is useful as headlines, callouts, sidebars, etc., although it is not limited to these uses. If Univers is not available, alternatives can include Univers Next from Adobe Fonts or Source Sans Pro from Google Fonts.
Minion Pro is a typeface also found on many computers and is most often used as body copy in brochures, for example. If Minion Pro is not available, alternatives can include Minion from Adobe Fonts or Garamond.
Another alternative option is Arial or Times New Roman if the others listed above are not available.
University Athletics Brand Typefaces
Redzone is the primary display typeface for Wright State Athletics. “Display” means it is appropriate only for high-impact text in small amounts, such as headlines, titles, banners, posters, print and digital ads, merchandise, and uniforms. It should never be used for large bodies of copy.
The secondary sans-serif typeface Univers LT Standard is used to complement the primary typeface and directly tie back to the university’s identity. Univers is considered a “text” font, meaning it is appropriate for large areas of copy, secondary headlines and subheads, and copy at small point sizes.
