September 10, 2021 - [OFFICIAL-L] From the President’s Desk

Dear Wright State Community,

Twenty years ago, on September 11, 2001, our world changed.

The specific events in New York City, Virginia, and Pennsylvania were horrific acts that have been etched into the minds of us all, such a senseless and tragic loss of life. It was also a day that highlighted the heroism of our first responders and many citizens who selflessly ran forward to assist others.

Tomorrow, we pause and remember all those who were taken from us on that day and in subsequent conflicts. We also stop to honor the selfless commitment and courage of our first responders and our armed service personnel. Please understand that this is a difficult time for a great many in our community. I ask you to be mindful of your family, friends, and colleagues who may have a specific relationship to this day and support them with compassion and kindness.

This is also a day that reminds us of how strong we are as a nation when we come together as one.

Best wishes,

Sue
