1.) Discover Dayton Series: Ice Skating

Ice kating with ICE and IFI: SkatingMeet new American friends by experiencing the classic winter sport of ICE Skating!  Limited spots available. Payment includes transportation, admission, and boot rental.  Shuttles will leave from the Student Union at 5PM sharp.  Contact ucie19@wright.edu for more information.

  • Time: 5:00 - 7:30PM
  • Location: Riverscape Metropark (Meet at the Student Union for free shuttle)
  • Cost: $6, includes shuttle, admissions, and boot rental

2.) UCIE Convo Club on Multiple Days

The UCIE Convo ClubWant to practice your English?  Interact with native English speakers and improve your skills in a fun and friendly environment.  For questions, contact Catherine Hernandez at catherine.hernandez@wright.edu.

  • Date:  Every Monday and Thursday
  • Time: 3 - 4PM
  • Location: UCIE Conference Room

3) OPT Application

International students graduating spring 2016 may begin applying for OPT on February 1, 2016. The final date for spring 2016 graduates to apply for OPT is June 15, 2016.

Choose an OPT start date between 5/1/2016 and 6/29/2016.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have any reservations regarding potential graduation for spring 2016 semester, do not apply for OPT until you are certain about graduation.


4) CPT Application

The deadline for submission of full time CPT application materials is Friday, January 15, 2016.


5) Spring Semester Open Immigration Advising

Check out the days and times below to consult with one of the University Center for International Education immigration advisors !

General, CPT, OPT, Work Authorization Advising:
Wednesday* — 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Thursday — 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

 

*Note: Wednesday, January 20th will have a slightly modified open advising hours of 10AM to 11AM.

Women's Gathering

An event just for women.  meet women from all over the world, learn about self care, and experience the ancient Chinese art of Tai Chi.

9) Walk-in Hours for Advisors and Documents

 Need to turn in your documents? Students may come to the UCIE admissions office E244 Student Union during the following times for walk-ins that begin January 19th.
Graduate students be sure to bring all original semester mark sheets as well as your provisional certificate/degree certificate and anything other documents that were outlined in your admission letter.
Undergraduate students please remember to bring your high school transcripts, any college transcripts you have, and anything other documents that were outlined in your admission letter.

10) Notice for Employment

International Students on F/J visas may not work off campus without prior approval of Curricular Practical Training (CPT).  8 C.F.R. § 214.1(e)
Any student caught working off campus will be subject to SEVIS termination and possible deportation.  This is a serious immigration violation and could impact future employment in the US.
