Wright State University Sociology & Anthropology Department’s Crime & Justice Studies Program presents Dr. Chris Przemieniecki’s "THE JUGGALOS: STREET GANG OR MUSIC FANS?", Wednesday, April 10th, from 3:30pm to 5:00pm in the Endeavour Room (165 Student Union).

Dr. Przemieniecki will examine the Juggalos, devoted fans of the music group Insane Clown Posse, and their controversial “hybrid” gang designation by the FBI. Get the Facts, Figures, and Reasons from both sides of the argument as he shares his participant-observation study.  The event is free and open to the public. Christopher Przemieniecki, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and the Assistant Chair of the Department of Criminal Justice at West Chester University. He has received the Frederic M. Thrasher Award from the National Gang Crime Research Center (NGCRC) for “Superior Academic Research” and is a member of the American Society of Criminology. Dr. Przemieniecki has published numerous articles on the subjects of gangs and social deviance. His work has been published in ACJS Today, Journal of Gang Research, Journal of Creative Social Discourse, FBI-LEEDA Insighter Magazine, and the Amplifier Magazine for the Society of Media Psychology and Technology. Dr. Przemieniecki also is a peer-review editor for the Journal of Gang Research.
