CaTS Software Licensing Quick List

Please Note: Software can only be installed on university-owned computers. Software is not for personal/home use.
CaTS coordinates volume license agreements for numerous software applications. Some are offered to departments at no cost, while others are charged back with a licensing fee. Unless otherwise noted, licensing cost does not cover the cost of any future upgrade or new versions. To request software licensing, see the instructions below. How to Order Software

FREE SOFTWARE: To order any of the free software applications listed above, please contact the Help Desk. Installation of free software on non-supported systems may incur Desktop Services installation charges.

SOFTWARE REQUIRING PURCHASE: For software that is licensed at a cost, please follow the steps below:

  1. Contact your Business Manager or Departmental Administrative Assistant, listing the software you want to purchase.
  2. The Business Manager should prepare a Banner journal voucher using the following numbers:
    1. Credit side (minus side) of the transaction is 190000-218366-737930-60005 for all products except SAS and PASW.
    2. For SAS and PASW, use 190000-218304-767930-60005.
  3. The journal voucher must also include the following:
    1. End user name (the person the software is for)
    2. End user CAMPUS username (w000xxx)
    3. Software Platform (Windows or Mac)
  4. CaTS will then contact the end user (the person that will be using the software) to arrange installation once the order is finished.

 

Purchasing Other Software Titles

CaTS centrally licenses and redistributes the software titles listed in the above table. In addition, CaTS maintains contracts with several other companies for the purchase of other frequently requested software. CaTS can assist you in purchasing at the best discounted price.
