Is Freedom of Expression Very Important?"
Whether you are sure it is, or think other things might sometimes be more important, you are invited to apply for a daylong seminar on campus (room yet to be selected) with fellow students from around the university on Saturday, Oct. 12 on the theme of “Tolerance in a Free Society.”
If you would like to participate, you will be asked to do so from beginning to end (roughly 9 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.). Breakfast and lunch will be provided, as will an optional dinner at a restaurant off-campus afterward.
There will also be a packet of readings distributed in advance that you will be expected to read and give some thought to beforehand. As compensation for your troubles, the sponsoring organization (the Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University) will pay you $100. Space is limited, so if interested please apply soon.
