Employee Cook Out and New Student Clap In

The new school year kicks off Thursday, August 21, which means our wonderful students will be returning to campus soon. The new student (freshman and transfer) cookout will be taking place on Tuesday, August 19. We would love to have as many WSU employees as possible join the new students at this event and also reconnect with each other at the cookout. We invite you to participate in any or all of the events as your schedule allows. For planning purposes, please RSVP on the link provided by August 15, 2025 at noon.
11:15-12:15: Cookout at Alumni Circle for all WSU employees.
12:15-12:30: Clap in for all incoming freshman. Students will walk from the North Lawn to the Alumni Circle area and be greeted by employees creating a line of welcome and cheering.
12:30-1:30: Cookout on the Quad remains open. Employees unable to gather at 11:15 are welcome to eat at this time. If you have already eaten and your schedule permits, please join the new students at their tables and welcome them to WSU.
We know this is a busy time for many employees, if you are unable to sit and connect over a meal, please still come and grab food to go.
Don’t forget to wear your green and gold! In the event of rain, more information will be sent via email to those registered.
