Parent Killed in Line of Duty Form
When completing the FAFSA, you answered that your parent was killed in the line of duty. If your parent or guardian died in the line of duty while (a) serving on active duty as a member of the U.S. Armed Forces on or after September 11, 2001, or (b) actively serving as and performing the duties of a public safety officer, then you may be eligible to receive a maximum Federal Pell Grant for the award year based on full time enrollment for which the determination of eligibility is made.
In order to be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant, you must complete and return to the Office of Financial Aid a Parent Killed in Line of Duty Form along with acceptable documentation (Section C of the form).
