Financial Aid

Student Loan Default(s) Resolution

When processing your FAFSA, the FAFSA Processing System determined that, according to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), you have one or more student loans in default. You are ineligible to receive any federal student aid until your default(s) has been resolved.

You can access your Federal student loan history online at studentaid.gov with your FSA ID. Navigate to your dashboard, where you will see a summary of your loans and grants.Your NSLDS record will display all of the federal student loans you've received and, for each loan, you can find the loan status, loan servicer, and the loan servicer's contact information.

You must have the loan servicer(s) submit a written statement to the Office of Financial Aid which states that the loan(s) identified as being in default is no longer in a defaulted status.
