Head to the Mojave Desert in Nevada’s Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area over Winter Break!  Explore canyons on a mountain bike, rock climb Aztec sandstone, search for Native American petroglyphs, inspect a fracture in the Earth’s crust called Keystone Thrust Fault, and hike to a natural hot spring. This multisport trip will include mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking, camping, a visit to Hoover Dam, and a day in Las Vegas. 

Cost: $599, $100 deposit required to register with remaining balance due one month before trip departure 

Cost Includes: ORC trip leaders, all major equipment, meals on location, all permits, camping fees, mountain bikes, rock climbing gear and instruction, one night lodging in Vegas, entrance in to Hoover Dam, and transportation from WSU in 12 passenger van. 

Activity Level: Intermediate– Advanced. Prior climbing experience, whether it be indoors or outdoors, is suggested.  
Physical Challenge Scale: Level 3, this trip is challenging. 
Remoteness Scale: Level 2, this is a front country trip.
