What is Preview WSU: New Black Student Leadership Institute?

Preview WSU: New Black Student Leadership Institute is a year-long leadership program that was created to develop, strengthen, and support rising Black leaders at Wright State University. By attending a series of workshops each semester, participants will gain tools that will help them be successful at Wright State and beyond.


What are the benefits of participating?

What are the program expectations?

You will be expected to attend 3 workshops each semester. Upon successful completion of the requirements each semester you will receive a $50 gift card to the bookstore. In other words, if you participate both semesters you will receive a total of $100 that can be used at the Wright State bookstore.

Who can participate?

Any student at Wright State can participate, but preference will be given to first and second year students.

When will it be held?

Tuesday, February 20, 5pm – 7pm

Topic: Etiquette Dinner

Tuesday, March 6, 5pm – 7pm

Topic: Self-Care

Tuesday, March 20, 5pm – 7pm

Topic: Communication 101
