Latino Si Se Puede First Year Seminar Course
Offered once a week each Fall semester, the Latino Center teaches a course specifically for new students to explore success strategies needed for a positive first-year experience. The course includes a built-in peer support system to connect new students with upperclassmen for tips navigating the university. Learn more about our Latino Si Se Puede Course.
Festivities celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month
Annual month-long events between September 15-October 15 to celebrate and honor the contributions of the Latino/Hispanic community.
Amigos Latinos Gala
Offered yearly in October, the Amigos Latinos Gala seeks to raise funds to support student scholarships and the Wright State University Latino Center. For more details visit the Amigos Latinos Gala website.
Latino High School Student Visit Day
Yearly in early November, the Latino Center partners with area schools to provide a bilingual and culturally sensitive campus visit experience for high school students. Learn more about Latino High School Student Visit Day.
Latino Wellness Clinic
Offered monthly with a primary focus on increasing access to quality healthcare for the underserved Hispanic/Latino population in East and North Dayton. The Latino Wellness Clinic connects attendees with wholistic community resources and free health screening services in a bilingual and culturally sensitive environment. Learn more about the clinic.
Latino Student Graduation Ceremonies
Offered at the end of both the Fall and Spring semesters, the Latino Center honors graduating students and their families.
Amigos Latinos Career and Internship Fair
Offered once a year in March in effort to connect local businesses with diverse, bilingual candidates and support the workforce development of Wright State University students and their families. Learn more about the Amigos Latinos Career and Internship Fair.
Latino Center Summer Programs
Yearly in early June, the Latino Center provides a free middle school STEM camp and free high school summer program to prepare the next generation with college success and career readiness skills. Learn more about the Summer Day Program.
