Co-Curricular Assessment
Co-Curricular programs at Wright State University are designed for student learning and development, have articulated learning outcomes for participants, expect multiple touchpoints with student participants, and are not included in the academic curriculum. Programs and activities that do not meet this definition may be classified as support or extra-curricular programs, depending on their primary purpose.

Assessment of Student Learning
The assessment of student learning in co-curricular programs follows the university’s assessment cycle:
- Articulate learning outcomes
- Identify assessment measures
- Develop and deliver learning experiences
- Collect assessment measure results
- Analyze results
- Identify and implement data-informed actions for improvement
Assessment plans and annual reports are maintained and submitted via the Planning & Self Study system. Reports are due annually by July 31 and are reviewed by the division Vice President and the Assessment & Accreditation team in the Office of the Provost.
