Current priorities and initiatives include:
Health and Wellness Task Force
The Health and Wellness Task Force, a presidential task force, is working to create a culture of well-being and care at the Dayton and Lake campuses and raise awareness of resources available to help students, faculty and staff prioritize their mental health.
JED Campus
JED Campus, a program by The Jed Foundation (JED), is dedicated to assisting schools in enhancing their student mental health, substance use, and suicide prevention initiatives through a tailored approach involving comprehensive systems, program, and policy development. In response to the rising mental health needs among students, Wright State University joined forces with The Jed Foundation in Fall 2023 to kick-start the journey to become a JED Campus. The dashboard below is a tool for communication and accountability to our students as Wright State continues through this four-year process.
Subcommittees
The Health and Wellness Task Force is responsible for implementing recommendations provided by JED Campus. Six subcommittees are responsible for individual action planning, implementation, and evaluation of assigned objectives in alignment with JED’s Comprehensive Approach to promoting well-being. In addition to JED’s recommended priority areas, Wright State University added the Employee Health and Wellness Subcommittee to support employee wellness in alignment with Jed’s frameworks.
