In honor of 100 years of women’s suffrage, the Robert and Elaine Stein Galleries have put together an exhibition that assembles and highlights the women artists in our permanent collection. ’19–’19: Women from the Permanent Collection (August 26–April 24) features over 50 works by 45 women. The show marks the first time all of the women in the collection are being shown together.

The Video Gallery will, throughout the exhibition season, also show a Screening Series of women video artists and filmmakers. Although not from the permanent collection, the videos will build off of themes in the works, take space, provide different narratives, and perhaps complicate certain ideas present in the neighboring collection.
