Dear Colleagues,

Welcome to a new academic year!

The start of the Fall Semester is such an exciting time, ushering in new beginnings for so many and filling us all with a renewed spirit and reminder of our collective calling—serving our students. As always, the summer months were a great time to refresh and recharge, but now is the time that we have all been looking forward to—the return of students to our Dayton and Lake Campuses again. I am filled with great hope and enthusiasm for the 2022–23 year, and I hope you are too.

I have no doubt that this academic year will be exciting and perhaps sometimes challenging as we continue to navigate the COVID pandemic and its lingering effects. I know that in true Wright State spirit, we all will continue to support one another in multiple ways as we chart our path forward.

We shall continue to focus on creating and nurturing an inclusive student-centered culture that supports and celebrates our students' academic and co-curricular successes. I know that if we all keep our students at the forefront of everything we do, we cannot go wrong.

Wishing you all an excellent Fall Semester and I cannot wait to see you on campus.

Best wishes,

Sue
