University Honors Program

Photo of Honors MedalThe University Honors Program exists to serve the needs of capable, hardworking, ambitious students who want to make the most of their undergraduate education.

Students interested in the University Honors Program should meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • New Students (any two of three requirements)
    • GPA of 3.25 or higher (4.0 scale) in high school
    • Rank in top 10% of graduating class
    • Score at 90th percentile on ACT or SAT (approximately 27 ACT or 1220 SAT math and reading only)
  • Continuing or Transfer Students
    • GPA of 3.0 or better
    • Faculty recommendation

Graduate & Professional

Graduate School

The School of Graduate Studies is responsible for more than 50 master's degree programs, a post-master's degree program (Educational Specialist), doctor of philosophy degree programs in biomedical sciences, computer science and engineering, engineering, environmental sciences, and human factors and industrial/organizational psychology, a doctorate of nursing practice, as well as courses for licensure programs in education and courses for various graduate certificate programs. Boonshoft School of Medicine

The Boonshoft School of Medicine's educational program prepares students for graduate medical education (residency training) in their field of choice. Graduates of this four-year program receive the Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree.

School of Professional Psychology

The School of Professional Psychology offers a doctoral program in clinical psychology that prepares students for work as professional psychologists. The program requires approximately five years of study and grants the Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree.
