Counseling and Wellness Services Semester Fee

A Counseling and Wellness Services (CWS) Fee will appear on your University bill.  This fee is an optional $20 fee. If you choose to pay the CWS Fee, you will be able to receive mental health services at CWS at no cost.  You may choose to waive the fee and continue to utilize the counseling and wellness services, but you will be assessed $20 per session for services received.  For information regarding waiving the optional fee, see the Frequently Asked Questions below.

  • If I pay the Counseling and Wellness Services fee, then I will not be billed anything for services at CWS?

You will not be charged session fees if you have paid the CWS fee for the current semester.  However, you will be billed missed session fees if you cancel with less than 24-hours notice, miss the session or arrive more than 15 minutes late  a session.  The missed session fee is $20 per missed session.

  • If I miss a session with less than 24-hour’s notice but I have a good excuse, can I get the missed session fee waived?

You are welcome to discuss any missed session fees with your provider.  If they support a waiver for the fee, they can submit a fee waiver request to the Director of Counseling and Wellness Services.
