WSURaiders.com: @WSU_WBasketball hosts Northern Kentucky for Pink Day

The Wright State women's basketball team will hit the hardwood again against the Northern Kentucky Norse. Tipoff at the Nutter Center is scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday.  Wright State will wear pink uniforms to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness.

Wright State

The Raiders (19-6, 11-2) are returning home after a 56-37 loss at Green Bay. The Phoenix defense held the Raiders to their lowest point total of the season. The loss snapped a six game winning streak in league play. Emily Vogelpohl led the Raiders in scoring with seven points. Symone Simmons led the team in rebounds, hauling in 11.

On the season, Michal Miller is leading the Raiders' offense with 12.4 points per game and just behind Miller is Mackenzie Taylor who adds 12.0 each game.  Simmons leads the team and the conference in rebounding. Simmons collects and average of 9.3 each game, 0.5 better than the second-leading rebounder in the Horizon League.

Northern Kentucky

The Norse (7-16, 6-7) are entering the Nutter Center coming off of a 59-38 loss to the Milwaukee Panthers. Emmy Souder led the Norse in scoring with 10 points, bolstered by a 5-for-6 effort from the free throw line. Kailey Coffey added seven points and a team-high seven rebounds. Molly Glick chipped in six points, and Grayson Rose had five points and three rebounds against the Panthers.

Freshman point guard Taylor Clos leads the Norse in scoring with 9.7 points per game. Guard Molly Glick is second on the team with an average of 9.4 each outing. Kailey Coffey is the leading rebounder with an average of 8.0 each game, good for fifth in the Horizon League.
