Join WSURA for "The First 100 Days," a virtual conversation about the Biden administration

The first 100 days of a new presidential administration are often seen as a time when a U.S. president can get more done than at any other time during his or her tenure. In his first 100 days, President Joe Biden signed the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan and introduced plans for a massive infrastructure bill, sweeping immigration reform and a major overhaul of the criminal justice system. What can we expect going forward?

The Wright State University Retirees Association will sponsor “The First 100 Days,” a virtual conversation about the Biden administration with political insider Paul Leonard, J.D., to discuss the issues on Tuesday, May 4, 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m., on Zoom.

Paul Leonard was elected to seats in the Ohio General Assembly four times and also served as mayor of Dayton. At the end of his term as mayor, he was elected lieutenant governor of Ohio and served from 1987–1991. Following that, he returned to Dayton to continue his law practice and founded the Center for Animal Law and Advocacy, a legal team advocating for harsher penalties for those who mistreat animals. He also teaches in the Political Science Departments at Wright State University and the University of Dayton.

This meeting will take place using Zoom, a free web-based conferencing application, which you can access on a personal computer, a tablet or a mobile phone. It is open to any Wright State retiree. To join the discussion, send your name and email address to wsura@wright.edu and we will send you a link and instructions. You are invited to send questions in advance to help facilitate the discussion. Please RSVP to wsura@wright.edu by Friday, April 30.
