Cheryl L. Aubin, 62, Instructor, Nursing

Cheryl L. Aubin, 62, Instructor in the School of Nursing, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 26, 2018, while at home in Dayton, recovering from knee surgery.

She spent her career as an ER nurse helping thousands of others during their most vulnerable times. As an educator at Wright State University, she shared her decades of knowledge and experience with the next generation of nurses so that they could navigate their careers caring for others as she had.

She took pride in selflessly volunteering her time to the people of Honduras. Cheryl enjoyed the all-encompassing beauty of nature, be it far away vistas, or her own gardens at home. Always enjoying the sun and water, she enjoyed traveling; spending summers at Lake Cumberland, and winter vacations traversing the Caribbean both above and below the water. She loved athletics, in particular the Reds, Ohio State Football, and the Bengals.

Cheryl is survived by her husband of 42 years, Raymond; her children, Ryan and Jamie; her best friend Donna, brother Tim, and her loyal and beloved dogs Bruno and Bella. Her parents Thomas E. and Leona M. Saylor and brother Greg precede her in death. Cheryl was a devoted, and loving wife, mother, and friend.
