Wright State eSports: Overwatch Fall 2027 Tryouts

Wright State Esports is hosting tryouts for our premier competitive teams for the Fall 2026 - Spring 2027 Competitive Season.Players will compete in NECC and NACE intercollegiate competition, travel to LAN tournaments in Ohio, and receive professional coaching from our internal volunteer staff and world-class coaches.Tryouts Format:Day One (Open):6:00pm - Initial Check-in~7:00pm - Matches Start10:00pm - Official End timeOn day one, we are looking for flexibility. Show us the characters you are comfortable playing, talk with your team, be social, and run as many matches as you can. We want to see a wide range of skill displayed here and, first and foremost, we are looking to see if you are a player we who wants to grow and become better.Day Two (Invite-Only):6:00pm - Initial Check-in6:30pm - Matches Start10:00pm Official End timeOn day two, we decide team compositions and apply restrictions to your gameplay. We are generally testing to see how you do in different circumstances out of your control, and stress-testing your hero pool. We will put you in matches that are just not fun to play in at all, and we expect this to be a very difficult day.Requirements:- Full-time student with a minimum 2.0 GPA*- Able to play in NECC matches every Friday at 8:00pm- Able to participate in two Scrimmages per week, as organized by your team- An Overwatch account with 2FA in good standing with Blizzard Entertainment- Play a minimum 10 games on the role of your choice for placements- Complete our RSVP form: https://forms.gle/rhndMNYH9EgpjhFh9- Join the Wright State Esports Discord: https://discord.gg/smmV38d*We also offer FACEIT teams for students who are not full time or do not meet GPA requirements, however students must pay their own registration fees and are not guaranteed facility access for all tournaments.Other Positions Available:- Livestream Casters- Livestream Camera Operators- Social Media Manager- Social Media Team Members- Team Managers- Team Support Staff
