Student Interest Group in Neurology: Neuroimaging Workshop

Wednesday, October 28, 2026, 6:30 to 8 pm
White Hall (Room 120)

SIGN will be hosting a neuroimaging workshop with Dr. Sahil Bajaj on Wednesday, October 28th, covering MRI and fMRI imaging. We also plan to briefly discuss SIGN's events for the 2026-2027 year, so please join and learn more about our interest group in neurology if it is a speciality that interests you! This is a great time to meet other students in various levels of their medical training who share an interest in neurology.
Dr. Bajaj is a faculty member in the Department of Cancer Systems Imaging at MD Anderson Cancer Center. His neuroimaging research spans functional MRI (fMRI), structural MRI, diffusion-weighted imaging, and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). Dr. Bajaj has also studied brain biomarkers associated with depression, suicide risk, anxiety, aggression, and early-life stress.
In addition to his research, Dr. Bajaj separately founded the Bajaj Research Academy in Neuroimaging (BRAIN), where he focuses on introducing trainees to the fundamentals of neuroimaging.
