Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Opportunities

Mary Kate MacLean

Stephanie Lake

Douglas T. Petkie

This talk will highlight the local and national research opportunities that are available to physics and STEM students.   Two senior physics majors will then present the research they had over the summer of 2015.  Mary Kate MacLean attended and REU at the University of Utah and worked with experimental condensed matter group interested in learning about physics of matter at extreme conditions of pressure and temperature.  Stephanie Lake attended an REU at Purdue University and researched a biophysics topic of E. Coli's Inorganic Phosphate Signaling.
