Calling all Earth Science explorers! Join the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Geological Survey for Ohio Geology Discovery Day!

This event is free and perfect for learners of all ages who are excited about rocks, minerals, fossils and more. During the open house hours of 10:00 am–2:00 pm, visitors can engage in hands-on learning activities throughout James F. Dicke Hall at Wright State University (WSU) Lake Campus.

In addition to the many activity stations, visitors can deepen their knowledge of Earth Science by attending two special presentations geared for all ages:
1:00 pm - Ohio Through Time, ODNR Geologist and Paleontologist Molly E. Hunt

2:00 pm - Paleontology Research Efforts of WSU, Professor Dr. Chuck Ciampaglio

The Ohio Geological Survey has partnered with Wright State University, Mercer County Library District, Miami County Gem and Mineral Club, and the Ohio Mining and Mineral Education Program for this great event.

You will not leave empty handed, with plenty of available giveaways, maps, and educational publications available. So, load up the kids, grab your friends, and join us for this outstanding program!
