Christy Nielsen
Social Work Intern
Christy Nielsen is in her second year of Wright State University’s Master of Arts in Social Work program. She will graduate in Spring 2026 with a MASW Advanced Generalist degree, with a concentration in Children and Families. Christy received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Oberlin College. She has spent 15 years working in the public school system as an administrative assistant and event coordinator. During her training in the Social Work program, Christy has organized and led student groups and advised individual students. Christy aims to counsel and support young people struggling with OCD, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. In her free time, Christy enjoys photography, sculpting and hiking.
