CaTS offers free anti-virus software for all faculty, staff, and students at Wright State University.
Below you'll find links to download the anti-virus software for your personal computer. If you have any questions about
the software, please contact the Help Desk.
Important Virus Information: Wright State University is concerned with the health of your computer and with maintaining
effective network resources. In the interest of your computer and the health of the University network, you are REQUIRED to have up-to-date
operating system patches as well as virus and spyware scanning software on your system. In order to ensure uninterrupted network access,
you must keep your operating system and all virus/spyware tools updated.
Students - Free Anti-Virus Software
If you are a student at Wright State University, free anti-virus software is available to you from the ConnectWright website. You can use this software on both
your computer at home and your computer in the residence halls. You will be required to log in to the ConnectWright website with your campus username and password.
Please note: If you plan on downloading and installing Microsoft Security Essentials, you MUST first uninstall any anti-virus software (such as McAfee) that is currently installed
on your home computer.

Faculty/Staff Home Use - Free Anti-Virus Software
If you are a faculty or staff member at Wright State University, free anti-virus software is available to you from the ConnectWright website. You can use this software on
your computer at home. You will be required to log in to the ConnectWright website with your campus username and password.

University-owned Computers - Free Anti-Virus Software
The link below allow you to download the Microsoft Forefront Security software (Windows computers) for on campus (university-owned) computers. Do not install this software
on your personal computer. Doing so violates Microsoft's terms of use for these products. This software is for faculty/staff use only and you will be required to login with your campus username and password to access these files.
Do not use these links unless instructed to do so by someone in CaTS.

For Macintosh users, CaTS encourages the installation of antivirus software. Currently, CaTS uses the Microsoft System Center Endpoint Protection (SCEP) software on your Mac for virus protection. If you would like to have
this software on your Mac, you must call the CaTS Help Desk to request an installation. If you currently have McAfee Anti-virus installed, a CaTS technician must uninstall that software before installing Microsoft SCEP.
