Computing and Telecommunications Services (CaTS)
Computing and Telecommunications Services (CaTS) provides service and support for all campus technology, including Internet access, computer labs, electronic classrooms,
telephones, information technology security, and administrative and computing resources.
For students, we offer a variety of services ranging from email and 24-hour computer labs to reduced cost software and free laptop rentals. For faculty and staff we provide
phone and voicemail services, an equipment checkout and delivery program to enhance technology use in the classroom, and support for your university-owned computer. All users
can take advantage of our wireless network, available in all buildings and residence halls, and the WINGS system, which gives you access to your email, calendar, and other
important university services.
Explore everything we have to offer by using the menu on the left. You can expand and collapse each section individually, or see it all at once with the Expand All Menus link
at the very bottom. If you’ve got questions, we welcome you to contact us by email at helpdesk@wright.edu, or by phone at (937) 775-4827
or 1-888-775-4827. You can also stop by our office in 025 Library Annex for assistance.
For an archive of previous alerts, see the CaTS Bulletin.
Faculty & Staff: Find the CaTS forms you need to fill out for your new role, learn about your WSU accounts, see the Faculty/Staff Zone for more information on services we offer, watch tutorial videos on the WINGS Resource Center, get answers to some common questions, and read how to keep your account information secure.
Phishing refers to an email claiming to be legitimate (such as an official Wright State University notice), but is really a scam trying to obtain your account or financial information. WSU students, faculty, and staff have been targeted heavily over the past few years by these emails. So what can you do about it? Check out the tips and information on the Email Scams site to learn how to protect yourself from these attacks.
The WINGS Resource Center provides additional training, documentation, and videos to guide you in the use of university computing resources. Students can learn how to register for classes, check their final grades, and more. Faculty can learn how to post grades and perform other tasks related to their classes, and employees can learn how to submit their time sheet, view their pay stub, and more.
