The Office of the Vice President for Research and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs are pleased to offer and sponsor the following seminars. Although there is no cost to attend either seminar, registration is required and seating is limited.  To request a reservation, please complete the form below.

Seminar Registration Request

Requests must be submitted by the close of business on Wednesday, December 21.  REGISTRATION REQUESTS ARE CLOSED.

A confirmation of registration acceptance to attend the selected seminar will be sent to the campus email address provided by the registrant in the completed registration request section below.


Seminars Available:

1. Write Winning Grant Proposals

  • Wednesday – January 25, 2017
  • 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Lunch Provided)
  • Wright State University Nutter Center Berry Room

A day-long seminar with emphasis on applications to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation (NSF). This seminar is designed for experienced and novice applicants, including faculty, post-docs and research staff who are actively engaged in research and in writing grant proposals.

2. NSF CAREER Award

  • Thursday, - January 26, 2017
  • 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon
  • Wright State University Nutter Center Berry Room

This half-day seminar is designed for eligible faculty, as determined by the Program Solicitation, who are preparing to submit a National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award proposal. This seminar will focus on how to package and present the proposal and will provide valuable tips and advice.  Participants of this session are required to attend the Write Winning Grant Proposals seminar.
