The Office of the Provost is recommending a structural reorganization of the academic enterprise to align with the Strategic Plan 2030. Specifically, the objectives of the reorganization are to:
- Align the academic units with emerging industry trends and evolving workforce needs to ensure our students are prepared to lead in a dynamic world.
- Forge lasting collaborative relationships and engage our communities with:
- defense, engineering, and technology
- healthcare
- P–12 education
- Advance knowledge through high-impact research, entrepreneurial collaboration, and creative endeavors.
- Execute strategic recruitment and enrollment to propel Wright State’s continued growth as the region’s premier institution for higher education.
Guardrails for the feedback committee include:
- How to promote student success, including advising, retention, and career pathways.
- Support regional workforce needs with existing and new academic programs.
- Promote interdisciplinary programs, research, and scholarly activity.
- Strengthen institutional sustainability for maximum impact and flexibility.
- Clarify the mission of Wright State University within the partnership areas above.
