December 10, 2025 - Further Together

Dear Colleagues,

As we conclude the Fall Semester, I want to thank you for your continued commitment to our students and to the success of Wright State University. Your efforts throughout the semester have a lasting impact on our academic community. I look forward to celebrating with many of you at commencement this weekend and to continuing our important work together in the new year. Wishing you a restful and enjoyable Winter Break.

Faculty Professional Development on Coursera

As you plan for the upcoming Winter Break, remember that you have continued access to Coursera’s extensive catalog of courses and specializations. This is a great opportunity to explore topics that support your teaching, research, or personal growth at your own pace. Whether you’re interested in emerging technologies, leadership strategies, or innovative pedagogy, Coursera offers flexible options to fit your schedule.

Fall Semester Final Grades

Final grading opened for all full-term fall 2025 classes on Monday, December 8. While final grades are due by noon on Wednesday, December 17, we encourage faculty to submit their grades as soon as possible to ensure the Registrar’s Office has time to process grades before Winter Break, which begins on December 24.

Please log in to WINGS to verify that grades have been submitted successfully for each of your classes. Information about the current grading system and policy is available on the Grading System webpage and the registrar’s grading webpage.

Wright State Online Accessibility Essentials

Wright State Online offers a compilation of resources designed to support faculty as they ensure their courses meet accessibility standards. These resources include an interactive 20-minute course and comprehensive guides.

Once faculty have completed the Accessibility in Course Design training and updated their content to reflect what they have learned, they are encouraged to submit their content for a digital accessibility review. A member of the WSO team will assess the content and provide feedback on any necessary revisions to ensure accessibility standards are met.

Learn more about Accessibility Essentials Information and review the available accessibility content in the Resource Library.

When a Student Needs Support

Wright.edu/help is a great resource for helping students or making referrals. This site contains contact information for emergency or essential departments that can assist your students all in one location.

The Student Success Navigator showcases the wide range of resources available to support our students. Whether students are interested in joining a student organization, looking for access to mental health services, playing a sport, or finding a job, all information is available in one central location.
