How Harmful are Harmful Algae Blooms?

Balancing human activites with our need to manage nutrients in aquatic systems, mitigate harmful algae blooms and reduce health risk -- all in the context of a changing climate.

Wright State University and the Environmental Sciences PhD Program are pleased to announce the sixth annual Carmichael Lecture in Environmental Sciences.  The event will be held on Wednesday April 1 at 6 pm in the Gandhi Auditorium of White Hall, with a reception preceding the lecture at 5 pm in the same location.  In a special twist, Wayne Carmichael, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Biological Sciences at Wright State, will provide the lecture entitled "How harmful are harmful algae blooms", a topic both timely and with many implications from the local to global level.  The event is free and open to the public.
