The Wright State University Retirees Association invites WSU retirees and current faculty and staff to a wine and cheese gathering with poetry readings by Cathryn Essinger and David Lee Garrison on Friday, April 10, 3–4:30 p.m., in the Bill Shepard Board Room of the WSU Foundation Building at 3070 Presidential Dr.

Cathryn Essinger is the author of six books of poetry, most recently Telling the Bees, from Sheila-Na-Gig press. She received her M.A. in English from Wright State and taught at Edison State Community College for many years. 

David Lee Garrison, an emeritus Wright State professor, will read from his new book, Tailfins. His poems have been read by Garrison Keillor on "The Writer's Almanac" and on the BBC in London, and he was named Ohio Poet of the Year in 2014.

The event is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required. To register, RSVP by Wednesday, April 8, by sending email to wsura@wright.edu. Please put "Poetry" in the subject line of your email.
