Led by Greg Asman, Instructional Designer, CTL. Pilot Live is the online, real-time virtual classroom for distance learning courses as well as online collaboration in real time that is powered by BlackBoard Collaborate. This session provides an overview of Pilot Live’s features for educational use where the participants use their computers to connect remotely and interact in a virtual classroom complete with a virtual whiteboard, presentation “screen” to share presentations, documents or content from the instructor’s (or any participant’s) computer, live video and/or audio, a simple student response system, dynamic feedback from students via emoticons, grouping of students and breakout rooms, a chat area, dynamic class role management (where you can have multiple presenters including students) as well as other tools to help facilitate almost any regular classroom activity in an online environment. (This class can be provided entirely online via Pilot Live or as a two-part session with the initial session being face-to-face with an online follow-up.)
