LTC Donald Dyer

LTC Donald Dyer commissioned into the Army as an Infantry Officer in 2010 upon graduation from The Citadel. After completion of IBOLC, LTC Dyer served in 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment as a Mechanized Infantry and Scout Platoon Leader. After completion of the Maneuver Captains Career Course, LTC Dyer served as an Assistant S3, Dismounted Reconnaissance Troop and Headquarters Company Commander. Upon completion of command, LTC Dyer instructed at the Maneuver Captains Career Course for two years. After successful completion of the Air Command and Staff College, LTC Dyer served as a Battalion and Brigade Operations Officer. LTC Dyer’s most recent assignment was the Future Operations Branch Chief for Joint Task Force – North. LTC Dyer has deployed to Afghanistan three times, while serving in leadership positions from Platoon Leader to Company Commander. LTC Dyer’s awards and decorations include: Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Ranger Tab, Basic Airborne Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Army Basic Instructor’s Badge, Order of St. Maurice, Bronze Star Medal 2nd award, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal 3rd award, Joint Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal 2nd Award, the Joint Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal 2nd award, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with 2 Campaign Stars, the Humanitarian Service Medal, the Armed Forces Medal and the NATO Medal 2nd award.
