Cassie Wallwey

STEM City Graduate Assistant
Hello everyone! My name is Cassie, and I will be the Residential Engineering Graduate Assistant this upcoming school year.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, and I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering with a focus in Medical Imaging and Signal Processing.
It’s my job to make sure that STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) students living on campus have all the resources available necessary for student success. From getting through exams to getting a summer internship, I am here to help! Come visit my open office hours in Honors Hall or STEM City for tutoring and help in classes such as Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering Math, and more! Want extra review before exams? Come to weekly study nights for review sessions and help with homework.
Have other questions like:
  • How do I register for Classes?
  • How do I schedule an appointment with my advisor?
  • How do I get an internship?
  • Can I become a Teaching Assistant (TA)?
  • Are there any clubs for engineers?
  • Who are the best professors to take?
  • What can I do to build up my resume?
Come see me and I can make sure you get the most out of your first year here at WSU.
This is my 5th year as a student at Wright State.  As an undergraduate, I was a Resident Assistant for 3 years so I am very involved in housing activities and educated in their policies and procedures.  I am also very involved in the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS).  I am CECS student ambassador, CECS peer mentor, I have been a teaching assistant for 3 years for courses in Biomedical, Industrial, and Mechanical engineering as well as the course EGR 1010.
If you are a parent or guardian wondering about courses, orientations, scheduling, advising, housing, the College of Engineering and Computer Science, Wright State, or anything else that you may have questions or concerns about before entrusting Wright State with your kid's college education - send me an email!  I am always happy to field questions.  If I don't know the answer, I can always put you in contact with someone who does.
If you are a student, I hope you are ready for a fun and fantastic year! If you have any questions feel free to let me know!
Welcome to Wright State!
